The "Shad" student educational network, as the primary virtual education platform in Iran, simultaneously possesses educational capacities and structural challenges, and its evaluation requires attention to learning quality, educational equity, and pedagogical consequences. On the one hand, Shad has provided the possibility of continuing education during crises and the production and distribution of supplementary content, serving as a platform for empowering teachers and families; on the other hand, the sudden transition from in-person to virtual education has weakened students' social development and communication skills, marginalized upbringing in favor of instruction, and increased family intervention in the teaching-learning process. Class divides in access to modern technologies, incomplete internet and smart device coverage, teachers' weak professional skills for online education, lack of technical support, and the absence of adequate mechanisms to protect students from the hazards of cyberspace are among the main challenges. Furthermore, monopoly in the development and management of virtual education and limited managerial authority for teachers and administrators have reduced the efficiency and competitiveness of this sector. Proposed strategies include prioritizing blended learning based on transformation documents, placing pedagogy before technology, formulating a virtual education doctrine, strengthening technological literacy, developing interactive capabilities and live teaching, designing an educational atlas to prevent students from falling behind, and expanding blended methods for deprived regions through educational packages and instructional guides.
