Abstract
With the exponential growth of science and technology worldwide, the role of research has become increasingly prominent, prompting governments and national authorities to take research seriously and further encourage researchers. Therefore, in accordance with the mission and strategic plan of the university, and with the aim of helping diagnose the root causes of chronic problems and proposing solutions for the macro-level issues of the country and executive bodies by leveraging the capacity, competence, and capabilities of the faculty members, the University Research Council approved the establishment of "Meetings on Solving Current National Issues" on March 2, 2015. Since then, various sessions have been held across faculties by esteemed professors in collaboration with executive bodies, and this initiative continues to this day.
Utilizing the outcomes of these scientific researches in the country's macro-level decision-making is essential and has a profound impact on fulfilling the university's social responsibility.
It is hoped that these specialized, problem-solving meetings will leave their social imprint on society, and that effective steps will be taken to improve service to the people through the efforts of the university's intellectual assets. Accordingly, to elucidate and disseminate this constructive movement, the University Vice Presidency for Research has undertaken the publication of the fifth volume of the university meeting series—which is a valuable collection expressing economic, political, and managerial perspectives—in order to respond to the cognitive needs of the executive bodies of our beloved country, Islamic Iran, by printing this work.
It is now fitting to express my utmost appreciation and gratitude for the efforts of the esteemed secretaries of the meetings, directors, research experts, and the hard work of the editors, as well as the publishing and preparation teams at the Vice Presidency for Research of Allameh Tabataba'i University.
