Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the imperative of developing intelligent healthcare management solutions, demonstrating that the deployment of artificial intelligence can alleviate pressure on the healthcare system and improve diagnosis, treatment, and crisis control. The primary focus centers on designing data-driven electronic health systems capable of intelligently tracking patients from diagnosis through treatment and post-discharge follow-up. Key applications include establishing daily outpatient tracking systems to identify danger signs, determining quarantine duration, and ensuring proper referral to medical facilities, which concurrently prevents unnecessary hospital visits and shortens treatment times for high-risk patients. The development of integrated medical and pharmaceutical record systems, alongside radiological image logging and treatment history, plays a pivotal role in precise decision-making and the reduction of medical errors. Furthermore, intelligent systems based on radiological image processing and laboratory analysis can model disease severity and progression trajectories, assisting physicians in selecting appropriate treatments. Alongside these measures, supplementary solutions to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate social and medical harms include designing intelligent systems for PCR sample collection and testing, drug-interaction reduction and dosage determination systems, physician assistants for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and detection tools for COVID-19-related fake news.
