Climate change, as one of the "super-wicked problems" of the contemporary era—characterized by temporal urgency, conflicts of interest among key stakeholders, and the need for long-term planning—has the capacity to generate multi-layered crises whose consequences extend beyond the environment to encompass economic, social, cultural, and even national security dimensions. This phenomenon, through rising global temperatures, desertification, intensifying water stress, the spread of new diseases and pests, and the occurrence of extreme events such as devastating floods, can exacerbate forced migrations, job losses, and social conflicts. In this regard, the media, due to their decisive role in agenda-setting and shaping public priorities, are considered primary tools for transforming climate change into a national priority and generating public demand. Policy strategies emphasize transitioning from event-driven coverage to a process-oriented approach, specialized training for environmental and crisis journalists, combating fake news and pseudoscience in cyberspace, simplifying the communication language between specialists and society, formulating official reporting protocols and deploying journalists to crisis zones, strengthening continuous communication between executive institutions and the media, and developing environmental journalism through institutional support. Furthermore, utilizing the media as a tool to mitigate losses, coordinating national and local media, and fostering a public dialogue on the legal dimensions of climate change are proposed to strengthen public trust and shape sustainable policies.
