Abstract
In addition to prioritizing research and educational missions, one of the key functions and responsibilities of universities is the development of social accountability capacities. As the country's largest humanities university—benefiting from a vast community of thinkers and experts across various fields of humanities and social sciences—Allameh Tabataba'i University can play a vital and influential role in resolving the challenges facing society, industry, and the country's executive organizations. Consequently, "the application and internationalization of the humanities" has been established as the mission of the university under the new management tenure. To pursue the implementation of this objective, faculties and research units, within a systematic framework under the leadership of the Vice-Presidency for Research, initiated the "Assisting in Solving the Country's Problems" panel series. Through these sessions, many professors and scholars have been encouraged to put forward practical ideas and solutions for resolving challenges across different executive sectors of the country. Held jointly with the presence of academic faculty members and representatives from the country's executive, industrial, and social sectors, these sessions involve a thorough and expert examination of each sector's problems, enabling faculty members to offer policy recommendations to executive bodies and make an effort to address national dilemmas, thereby playing a small part in resolving them.
It is hoped that Allameh Tabataba'i University, relying on Almighty God and utilizing its scientific and research capabilities, will take effective steps toward improving the country's conditions and moving in the direction of national development.
