Breach of trust, from the perspective of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), is not merely a criminal offense, but a moral-social phenomenon that disrupts social order and erodes social capital by stripping away public trust. In this framework, trustworthiness is introduced as a foundational norm and religious value, and breach of trust is analyzed as a multi-layered violation both at the level of individual relationships and public interactions. Analyzing the factors behind the occurrence of this crime indicates that "misplaced trust," "naivety," and "failure to obtain receipts and documents in transactions" are recurring contexts for the emergence of this offense; therefore, the prevention of breach of trust requires public education in interaction and transaction skills, the enhancement of legal literacy, and the promotion of behavioral patterns based on rational prudence. Furthermore, strengthening faith, increasing awareness regarding the individual and social consequences of the crime, fostering moral conscience, and increasing religious insight are introduced as internal mechanisms for behavioral control. At the institutional level, strategies such as prioritizing prevention through treatment, cultural promotion via media and educational institutions, identifying and classifying types of breach of trust, the decisive and swift execution of punishment for deterrence, coordination among anti-corruption organizations, and the reinforcement of public trust through the probity of officials are proposed as policy prerequisites for reducing this crime and reconstructing social trust.
